Senior Vice President
Justin Krieg, Ph.D. is a Senior Vice President of HedgeStar. Dr. Krieg provides clients with economic consulting services, expert witness, and financial engineering/modeling services. Economic consulting services include but are not limited to Public-Private Partnership (P3) transactions, forecasting, contract review, and economic modeling. Expert witness and litigation support services include data acquisition, cataloguing, analysis and reporting. Financial engineering and modeling services including scenario analysis, model creation and financial programming.
Dr. Krieg is an expert in Python programming language, econometrics, micro and macroeconomics, predicative modeling, legal damage modeling, economic research and legal economic analysis.
Prior to HedgeStar, Dr. Krieg worked as a Senior Consultant at Robing Kaplan LLP and worked as Instructor in the MBA program at the GISMA Business School during the Fall 2012 semester. Focus of the course was on understanding how the principles of microeconomics can guide business decision making.
Education
Dr. Krieg holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Purdue University, a master’s degree in Economics from Purdue University, and a bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics from Western Washington University. He also passed the MSRB Series 50 Examination to become a qualified municipal advisor representative. Dr. Krieg also currently serves as Vice President of the Shakopee Public Utility Commission (SPUC), which oversees the city of Shakopee’s municipal electric and water utility.
