New York, NY – – The American Metal Markets held their 33rd annual Steel Success Strategies Conference June 25 – June 26. Delegates from across the steel industry participate in this three-day event to get the latest market insights with hot topics covered such as global steel trading, raw materials pricing and dynamics, risk management, and more. HedgeStar’s hedge accounting manager, Tim Potter, CPA was enlisted as the hedge accounting expert for the Risk. Potter addressed the principles of hedging commodity risk and the accounting that accompanies the risk management strategy; highlighting the impacts to companies reporting under US and international accounting standards.
