Blue Lacy Advisors, LLC - End of November Natural Gas Market Commentary

Minneapolis, MN | November 28, 2022 | By: Steve Sinos, Blue Lacy Advisors, LLC

Natural Gas

Until the most recent cold front passed through, November was on pace to accumulate the second fewest heating degree days (“HDD”) on record. That spike in demand should cause the withdrawal season to begin, setting the tone for prices into the first quarter of 2023. Commodity Weather Group’s most recent model updates suggest moderation after the weekend. NOAA’s public models align with this expectation, showing a greater than 50% probability that the balance of the winter will be warmer than normal in the most densely populated areas of the US.
