HedgeStar's Tim Potter participates in S&P Global Platts pre-conference training workshop
Miami, FL –HedgeStar’s hedge accounting manager, Tim Potter, CPA was recently invited by S&P Global Platts to participate in a pre-conference hedging workshop on January 14, 2018. The workshop is the kick-off to S&P Global Platt’s annual Platts Aluminum Symposium.
The workshop was geared towards professionals both new to the hedging process and those with significant experience looking to refine their approach. Attendees walked away with an education in the opportunities and risks related to the aluminum markets, and how properly executing hedge accounting can help reduce income statement volatility.
Potter is a subject matter expert in hedge accounting and compliance regulations. He’s led numerous speaking engagements and training sessions in the industry, from commodity hedging to interest rate and foreign exchange.
