Johan Rosenberg Awarded the CRE® Designation from The Counselors of Real Estate®
Minneapolis, MN, January 11, 2022 - Johan Rosenberg, CRE, Chairman and General Partner of Tril 1 LP of HedgeStar has been awarded the CRE® (Counselor of Real Estate) designation by The Counselors of Real Estate®, an international group of high-profile real estate professionals who provide expert advisory services to clients on complex real property and land-related matters. The credential was awarded in January, 2022.
Johan Rosenberg is the General Partner of the Tril Fund LLP, a holding company which owns a number of companies including HedgeStar, Blue Rose Capital Advisors, and MPT Services. In addition to company management, Johan provides advice on capital markets transactions, the execution of public private partnerships, and the accounting and legal proceedings of complex financial instruments. Mr. Rosenberg’s achievements include the conceptualization and development of the first independent swap valuation and monitoring service, HedgeStar, and an online bond pricing transparency service, MuniPriceTracker. Johan has overseen debt and hedging transactions in excess of $250 billion.
Johan holds a master of business administration degree with concentrations in finance and accounting from the University of Saint Thomas and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota. Johan passed the MSRB Series 50 Examination to become a qualified municipal advisor representative. He also earned a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation from the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association.
Only 1,100 professionals in all disciplines of real estate hold the CRE credential in the United States and 20 additional countries. Membership is selective and extended by invitation, although commercial real estate practitioners with 10 years of proven experience may apply.
